Universal Healthcare Begins Right Here in Montana

Healthcare in America has become a political hostage, traded in this shutdown fight and used as leverage to score power. Montanans will not be used as bargaining chips anymore. I’m drafting the Universal Healthcare Act because no family should lose care based on who’s winning a power struggle in Washington. We’re done playing chicken with people’s lives. […]

A Montana Plan for Security

Neill Proposes Family Insurance Act to Strengthen Montana Families and Rural Healthcare Livingston, MT – U.S. Senate candidate Reilly Neill announced her proposal of the Family Insurance Act, legislation that would allow children to remain on their parents’ health insurance until age 35. The proposal is designed to lower medical debt, protect families during critical […]

Coming to a Town Hall Near You

I’m showing up for Montana every day. Daines just said gasoline is down 9%. He lies, and then he doesn’t show up to answer for it. During the Congressional recess, he won’t even show his face in Montana. Daines is too busy doubling down to protect pedophiles in D.C. to give a damn about Montana. […]

What Montana Loses Without the Fairness Doctrine

Imagine a radio news segment that says, “American farmers should be able to feed the nation without imports.”

Without context, this sounds patriotic. Under the Fairness Doctrine, broadcasters were compelled to present a fuller picture.

If the Fairness Doctrine still existed, broadcasters would be required to present contrasting views. Viewers would hear not only from ranchers, but also from economists, trade experts, and farmers who know the U.S. agriculture system depends on international inputs and global markets.

Governor Brian Schweitzer endorses Reilly Neill

(Livingston, Mont.) — Former two-term Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer (2005-2013), released a statement endorsing U.S. Senate candidate Reilly Neill as the Democrat candidate to take on current GOP senator, Steve Daines. “Reilly is on the ground listening to Montanans, working with Montanans, and fighting for Montanans,” Gov. Schweitzer said in the statement. “She has my […]

On the Ground: Defending Public Schools

While Daines is busy covering for a pedophile, someone needs to make sure Montanans get our fair share of public benefits from the Federal taxes we pay.

In my travels across the state, I’ve meet so many folks who value Montana’s public schools. In towns from Troy to Three Forks, I hear that our schools are the heartbeats of our Montana communities.

Locally-elected school boards help keep decision-making close to home so that parents and community members shape the values and direction of their schools.

Daines Hides. We Show Up.

While Daines is busy protecting pedophiles in D.C., I spent the last month traveling to Troy, Eureka, Libby, Thompson Falls, and spending time in the quiet shadow of the Yaak.

All of these places in Montana sit within one of the most ecologically rich and economically strained regions in the state. Families here are doing their best with limited opportunity.

Montanans are resilient but they’re not indestructible.

Tourism from Canada has dried up and with it much of the seasonal income in the communities near the border. A legacy of promises broken by mining companies lays heavy like the residue of pollution from generations of industry.

EPA Cuts Hit Home in Butte and Across Montana

In July 2025, the Environmental Protection Agency eliminated more than 3,700 staff positions nationwide.

Entire divisions were dissolved. Among them was the Office of Research and Development, the agency’s central scientific arm. Toxicologists, chemists, and environmental health researchers were left without assignments or clear directives. The effects of those cuts are now being felt in Montana.
